AFPT developed bending-process for carbon fibre reinforced tubes
AFPT developed in cooperation with the University of Siegen an automated bending process for FRP-tubes. The system is integrated in a common CNC bending machine due to the demand of reproducible and reliable outcome. The process offers new possibilities for industrial application of thermoplastic FRP. Especially in combination with a continuous winding-process this technology contains high potential for component-cost-reduction.
